In fact he's "the boss of them all since 1992"

Wherever you go in Japan you'll see these and other vending machines on almost any street corner.  You never need to worry about where you'll be able to find a drink if you are thirsty, and with the temperatures as they are here - high 30's and very humid - you'll need those drinks.

Of course, the first time I felt the need to use one of these, there was only really one choice of drink:

Its surprisingly tasty too, I don't know what Pocari-san eats and drinks but if only all our sweat could be so delicious.
